London: Sohail Abro, Chairman of the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM), returned to London after a successful four-day visit to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, from 22 to 25 September 2026.
According to details, on 23 September, the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement organised a demonstration outside the headquarters of the United Nations human rights body in Geneva. Sarang Hyder, Coordinator of the Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh – Europe Chapter, Jameel Maqsood, a central leader of the United Kashmir People’s National Party, and Baloch and Pashtun leaders participated in the demonstration. Speakers called for United Nations-supervised referendums on the right to self-determination and independence for Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and the Saraiki region.
On the same day, JSFM Chairman Sohail Abro and Sarang Hyder, Coordinator of VMPS, participated in and addressed a protest organised by the United Kashmir National People’s Party. In his speech, Sohail Abro expressed support for concerns over human rights violations in Kashmir and for the demands raised by the Kashmir Public Action Committee.
On 24 September 2026, Sohail Abro attended the 12th Balochistan International Conference, organised by the Baloch National Movement at the Geneva Press Club, as a special guest and joined the speakers on stage. In his speech, he condemned human rights violations in Balochistan, what he described as the genocide of the Baloch people, and what he described as Punjabi imperialism and the actions of the Pakistani military in Balochistan. He said, “We all have one enemy, one struggle and one destination. Let us establish a joint coordination committee and demonstrate our unity at the international level.”
On 25 September 2026, Sohail Abro participated in a programme and protest organised by the World Sindhi Congress. Addressing the gathering, he spoke about what he described as injustices committed by the Pakistani state against Sindh and said that, following the political philosophy of G. M. Syed, “we will achieve Sindhudesh.”
On the same day, Sohail Abro also participated in a long march and protest organised by the Baloch National Movement in Geneva. Addressing the demonstration, he said that Balochistan had been subjected to severe repression by the Pakistani state. He alleged that Punjabi imperialism sought control not only over the people of Balochistan but also over its natural resources. He stated that independence was the right of Balochistan and that all oppressed nations would ultimately achieve freedom from what he described as Punjabi domination.
Finally, Sohail Abro participated in a demonstration organised by the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM). Demonstrators called for the release of Ali Wazir and the withdrawal of arrest warrants against Manzoor Pashteen. They also demanded an end to Pakistani military bombardment in Pashtun areas and called for the protection of human rights.

Overall, the four-day visit organised by the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement was successful. During the visit, Sohail Abro met representatives of Sindhi, Baloch, Pashtun, Kashmiri and Gilgiti communities facing repression by the Pakistani state. Discussions were held on future strategies, joint protests were carried out, and the participants reiterated their commitment to advancing their joint struggle.
