London, United Kingdom
Sohail Abro, Chairman of the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) and Sarang Sindhi,
Coordinator of the Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh – Europe Chapter, have in separate
statements strongly condemned the raid by armed masked men on the native home of Mansoor
Ahmed Hab, Central Executive Committee Member and Spokesperson of the Jeay Sindh
Freedom Movement (JSFM), in District Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan.
According to the family, armed men forcibly entered the residence, carried out an unlawful
search and allegedly threatened that Mansoor Ahmed Hab must stop his peaceful political
activities in the United Kingdom or his family would face serious consequences. They described
these actions as an attack on fundamental human rights and an attempt to silence peaceful
political dissent through intimidation.
Sohail Abro and Sarang Sindhi expressed serious concern that the family of Mansoor Ahmed
Hab is now living under constant fear and faces a serious risk to their safety. They stated that the
reported threats create a genuine fear for the lives of his family members. They further
emphasized that, if Mansoor Ahmed Hab were compelled to return to Pakistan, his own life and
personal security would also be at serious risk. They said that threatening an individual and
targeting family members because of peaceful political opinions constitutes a violation of
internationally recognized human rights, including the right to life, the right to security and the
fundamental right to freedom of expression and peaceful political participation.
They also expressed grave concern over the reported enforced disappearance of Muhammad
Ayoub Hab, a relative of Mansoor Ahmed Hab and a JSFM member, who has remained missing
since his alleged abduction on 9 June 2026 from Karachi.
They called upon Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the Human Rights Commission
of Pakistan (HRCP), the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights
(OHCHR), the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances, the
European Union, the Government of the United Kingdom, and other international human rights
organizations to urgently investigate these reported incidents, press for accountability, and
ensure protection for Mansoor Ahmed Hab, his family, and all peaceful Sindhi political activists.
