London – A significant conference titled “Human Rights Violations in Sindh and Balochistan” was held under the chairmanship of Member of the UK Parliament, Bob Blackman. The event saw a large participation of human rights organizations, political leaders, and social activists.
The conference was attended by representatives from the Baloch Human Rights Council, World Sindhi Congress, Asian Human Rights, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM London), and Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement. Participants collectively raised strong concerns regarding enforced disappearances, violations of religious freedoms, and the illegal exploitation of natural resources in Sindh and Balochistan.

The conference appealed to the international community to mobilize efforts for the release of activists abducted by Pakistan’s state institutions from Sindh and Balochistan. Issues such as the construction of illegal canals on the Indus River and the forced religious conversion of Sindhi Hindu girls were also highlighted.

The event was hosted by Arif Ajakia, a leader of Asian Human Rights. Abdul Rasheed represented Balochistan, raising the issue of genocide in the region. Hidayat Bhutto and Hafeezan Wadhiyo presented the case for Sindh, while the Chairman of Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement, Suhail Abro, participated as a guest of honor. Mustafa Azizabadi and Sohail Khanzada represented MQM London at the conference.

Demands to the UK Parliament
The attending leaders called on the UK Parliament and the international community to pressure the Pakistani government to end enforced disappearances in Sindh and Balochistan, release political activists, and take international measures to prevent the exploitation of natural resources in these regions.

This conference served not only as an important platform to highlight human rights issues but also as a significant step in bringing Pakistan’s ongoing human rights violations to global forums for discussion.
