Karachi (Press Release): Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement paid tribute to its martyred central leader Goro Sindhi throughout Sindh today. On this occasion, candles were lit in front of his picture to honor his sacrifices. In various cities of Sindh, activists lit candles in front of Goro Sindhi’s photos, sang the national anthem, and showered flowers. On this occasion, activists pledged to follow his path, making his struggle an example.

During the event, Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement’s central chairman, Sohail Abro, paid tribute to Goro Sindhi in an online address from London.

He said that Goro Sindhi, a central leader of Jeay SindhFreedom Movement, was injured on August 19, 2024, in Hyderabad by state agents and succumbed to his injuries on August 25, 2024, at the Trauma Center in Karachi. After Goro Sindhi’s tragic martyrdom, the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement announced a 10-day mourning period. During this time, activists across Sindh raised black flags at their homes and wore black armbands.

He further stated that the attack on Shaheed Goro Sindhi was just like the attack on Shaheed Shafi Muhammad Karnani, where state agents attacked them while they were on the road. Both incidents are similar, and the connections are clear. We consider the state responsible for his assassination, which was carried out through various local agents.

Suhail Abro @sohailabro81 said that Goro Sindhi had been very active on the party platform for the past two years. Whether it was rallies for missing persons, protests the forced religious conversions of Sindhi Hindu girls, defending the unity of Sindh, protests against the exploitation of Karoonjhar Mountain, or the remarkable rally for enforced disappearances on August 30 last year.he was always at the forefront. Moreover, he was also charged with FIRs for participating in the party’s rallies on the birthdays and anniversaries of Saen G.M. Syed. Because of his activism, he had been on the state’s radar for a long time. His past was filled with imprisonment, hiding, hardships, and sacrifices. Even now, when he visited the injured national workers in Kotri as part of his national duty, he was martyred shortly afterward.

Sohail Abro and all the activists paying tribute across Sindh demanded that all the killers mentioned in Goro Sindhi’s FIR be arrested, and they urged the courts to demonstrate justice by sentencing the killers to death.
