Seraiki national leader Rashid Aziz Bhutta has strongly condemned the Punjabi occupation of Seraiki lands under the guise of “Green Pakistan.
” He stated that a “Saanjha Punjab Conference” was recently organized by the Punjabi newspaper Bhulekha Lahore, which saw the participation of Punjabi nationalist leaders.
The editor of the newspaper, Mudassar Butt, who had previously insulted the Seraiki community, was also involved in the event.
Punjabi nationalists have been advocating for the merger of Indian Punjab and Pakistani Punjab to create a “Saanjha Punjab” (United Punjab).
However, Bhutta emphasized that regions like Potohar and Seraikistan have no historical, cultural, or political connection to this proposed “Saanjha Punjab,” aside from cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, and Gujrat.

Bhutta further highlighted that while Punjabis may share ties with Sikhs in India, the Seraiki, Sindhi, and Baloch people are deeply interconnected as brothers. He remarked, “You may celebrate your relationships, but the dream of occupying Seraikistan will never be realized
As the head of the Cholistan Bachao Tehreek and central chairman of the Seraiki Action Committee Pakistan, Bhutta expressed grave concerns over the “Greater Punjab” conspiracies, labeling them as a direct threat to our unity and integrity. He asserted that the Seraiki nation is fully prepared to resist all such schemes to safeguard its land, culture, and rights.
We condemn and Rejects Punjabi Occupation in the Name of Green Pakistan.
Bhutta concluded by reaffirming the Seraiki people’s commitment to protecting their identity and territory against any form of exploitation or occupation.
